Strategy for last 45 days

Here's the UPSC CSE Prelims GS 1

Solve Previous Year Papers (PYQs)

    - Analyze past years' question papers to understand the exam pattern and common topics.

    - Identify frequently asked questions and recurring topics.

(Many topics/questions get repeated every year)

Practice Mock Tests

    - Regularly attempt mock tests to simulate examination conditions and improve time management.

    - Use mock tests to identify and address weak areas.

    - Practice full tests from various coaching institutes but avoid relying solely on their question quality.

(do not get carried away by these mocks they have to make 2-300 questions from one subject but UPSC have to make few questions for 1 Paper)

Focus on Static & High-Scoring Areas

    - Prioritize subjects such as Polity, Economy, Environment & Modern History, which carry significant weightage in the exam.

    - Static subjects make up around 60-70% of the paper, so allocate more time to these areas.

Current Affairs

    - Use yearly magazines from any reputed coaching institute for current affairs.

    - Focus on topics like environment, science & technology , & international relations for current affairs.

Revision is Key

    - Regular revision is crucial for retaining information.

    - Create concise notes for quick revisions.

Effective Time Management

    - Allocate study time based on subject importance, strengths, and weaknesses.

    - Balance your study schedule to cover all topics adequately.

Stay Healthy

    - Prioritize sleep and manage stress levels to stay mentally and physically healthy.

Positive Mindset and Motivation

    - Stay positive & motivated.

    - Surround yourself with supportive peers and mentors.

I have scored 168 in paper 1 and 146 in paper 2, making it 314 in total. I did value addition from multiple sources so as to get an edge in my answers: I referred to copies of toppers of the respective tests that I attempted during my mains ...
