According to Aristotle, the desire for equality is the root cause of revolution. According to them, the rich class hates the poor, while the poor class has a sense of hatred towards the rich.
Aristotle's idea of equality appears to be related to practical experien ofces. Apart from the natural disparity, they also rationalize the inequality prevailing among the individuals in the society at the practical level. Aristotle described slaves as having zero conscience and women as having low conscience. They talk about determining the distribution of posts, services and goods in the society by the distributive method in proportion to the contribution made by the individual to the society.
Aristotle also expressed his views on equality and disparity on the basis of biological facts. Explaining the justification of slavery, Aristotle said that the way the body has inseparable and helpful parts.
Similarly, society is made of two parts. A part of the society is inseparable and important, which
operates the government. Whom Aristotle called the owner. The second part of the society is the
helpers, which Aristotle placed in the category of slaves.
Aristotle told the purpose of equality to establish balance, harmony and justice in the society.
Considering state and society as lovers, Aristotle emphasized on justice for balance and harmony
in the society. He emphasized on an objective method for justice and equality. Purposeful method means that the complete development of anything is motivated by a purpose.
Aristotle's idea of equality lies in the ideas given by him of revolution, justice, slavery, proportional distribution, rational inequality. His views seem to be related to practical experiences in the immediate period.
