UPSC mains Answer writing tips

• 7 से 8 questions 1 hour में पूरा करो ।
• Answer UPSC format Mein likhna chahiye
• Point wise / Paragraph wise ( depending upon questions)

Answer writing approach :

• Introduction - Basics
• Body               - The demand of the Question
• Conclusion    - Try to end on positive note or progressive note

  

Confusing Key Terms in Questions :

• Discuss   : - Essentially this is a written debate where you are using your skill at reasoning backed up by carefully selected evidence to make a case for and against an argument or point out the advantage or disadvantage of a given context.

• Illustrator : - Examples and Stats (उदाहरण और आँकड़े)

• Critically Analyse / Examine : - Not criticism , Analysis all aspects of the issue. Do not have pre disposed notions in the discourse . Then conclude in the end what you think .

• Compare and contrast : -Self explanatory .

• Comment : -  Pick out The main points on subject and give your opinion Re- imposing your point of view using logic ,free flowing commentary .
