Strategy for Core Subjects

 Strategy for Core Subjects

You need to do a favour to yourself in our group by doing the following action for preparing core subjects in upcoming days to ease your preparation and do it in the most comprehensive way.

👉 Gather subject wise tests in one file(zip or rar) or compile every subject tests at one place.

For ex: Polity.

When you've finished reading the static part of the syllabus (say Laxmikanth), then immediately you have to solve respective subject MCQs to test your understanding where you stands.

So, for that you need to gather various test series's Polity tests at one and practice. Rather than attempting random polity questions.

Say,in vision- Polity tests may be in test no. 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 20

Say, in Insights-  Polity tests may be in test no. 1, 6, 11, 16, 22, 27

Likewise.. any other tests series.

You need to segregate these subject wise tests(say 10 tests for each subject) at one folder and practice accordingly rather than doing random tests available online.

After segregating subject wise tests for all subjects. Practice these tests( one by one ) after finished reading the syllabus.

This way, you can easily cover questions and answers from atleast 2 test series and note down the imp points at one place and revise them before.

After doing all these tests and making notes, you'll be ready by 1st week to give full mock tests in every alternate day as we planned. Otherwise, it would be as confusing as disguising.

Now some of you should come forward and assign yourself to segregate these subject wise tests from Vision, Insights (sub wise + Textbk wise) and any other.

Utkarsh Dwivedi IAS   air-5 UPsc cse 2021 PSIR STRATEGY, NOTES AND MY ANSWER COPIES If there is one factor that has helped me achieve a single digit rank in CSE, it is my optional. I have scored 168 in paper 1 and 146 in paper 2, making it 314 in total. I have still not come across somebody with a score more than this and hence a comfortable claim can be made that this is one of the highest score this year. In this blog, I would mention what helped me achieve this score.  I DID NOT refer to any other source than Shubhra Ma'am's notes. There are two reasons to it.  Firstly, since I had reached the interview stage in all my three attempts, I never had the luxury of time to refer to any book.  Secondly, I believe Ma'am's notes are more than enough to form the core aspect of the subject's preparation. I did value addition from multiple sources so as to get an edge in my answers: I referred to copies of toppers of the respective tests that I attempted during my mains ...
