Nitin Puke, Ex DANICS officer, SERVICE EXPERIENCE

Dear All,

I am Nitin Puke, Ex DANICS officer, I’m writing this message as service preference is most important thing wrt career. So pls go through this article once.

While giving preference in DAF 2 most of us puts GROUP A services first and then give preference to GROUP B but don’t do this mistakes.

I request you to give higher preference (5th or 6th) to DANICS Service.

Group B services like DANICS & DANIPS are like “mini IAS” & “mini IPS”. I was in DANICS service so writing this comprehensive message.

1. DANICS officers serves in Delhi (Power Centre), Dadra Nagar Haveli & Diu Daman, Lakshadweep or Andaman & Nicobar Islands

2. DANICS officer starts career as Dy Collector or SDM (IAS officer of AGMUT cadre also starts with same position)

3. During first 8 years, Officer can serve in various positions like Deputy Director (In Organisations), Deputy Secretary ( In Secretariat) or Assistant Commissioner (Municipal Corporation of Delhi)

4. After 8 Years, one is promoted to ADM level (Additional District Magistrate) or equivalent position in secretariat

5. After 13 years one can become DM/ Collector of any district in Delhi ( Delhi has total 13 district out of which 3 are reserved for DANICS)

6. After that one will be part of AGMUT cadre IAS at level of Special Secretary in Secretariat

7. One will serve minimum 2 years either in Lakshadweep or Andaman and Nicobar ( This is postings are like Paid Honeymoon ) and Minimum 3 years in Dadra Nagar Haveli

8. Overall DANICS is far better than Deputy Collector (MPSC) or Many other Group A service whose profiles are having little public Interaction.

9. DANICS officers are working in Delhi for more than 20 years and there is stability wrt working Spouse/ Child Education/ Parents Health

Only negative about service are

1. Designation of Group B (Hence Salary is start with Level 8 ie Basic Pay is ₹ 47,600 and IAS starts with Level 10 ₹ 56,100)

2. For first 8 years, there is no promotion ( Annual Increments will happen but designation will not change)

3. IAS officer of same batch becomes Boss ie DM after 8 years But DANICS officer is still SDM

However DANICS is far better than many other services with respect to Profile, sense of stratification, stability in life and decent lifestyle.

In my own batch 3 IRTS officers & 1 IPTAF officer resigned from their respective services and joined DANICS. It’s better to fill preferences after proper consultation.

So I request you all to put DANICS at 5th or  6th position. For any other information pls text me.

Regards,

Shri. Nitin Puke

Ex DANICS Officer

Utkarsh Dwivedi IAS   air-5 UPsc cse 2021 PSIR STRATEGY, NOTES AND MY ANSWER COPIES If there is one factor that has helped me achieve a single digit rank in CSE, it is my optional. I have scored 168 in paper 1 and 146 in paper 2, making it 314 in total. I have still not come across somebody with a score more than this and hence a comfortable claim can be made that this is one of the highest score this year. In this blog, I would mention what helped me achieve this score.  I DID NOT refer to any other source than Shubhra Ma'am's notes. There are two reasons to it.  Firstly, since I had reached the interview stage in all my three attempts, I never had the luxury of time to refer to any book.  Secondly, I believe Ma'am's notes are more than enough to form the core aspect of the subject's preparation. I did value addition from multiple sources so as to get an edge in my answers: I referred to copies of toppers of the respective tests that I attempted during my mains ...
